Head Teacher (over 2’s)- Vacancy
Pukeko ELC are looking for a superstar head teacher for our over two’s room to join a small and friendly team.
We are a smaller centre licensed for 45 children and are based just a short distance from beautiful Stanmore Bay beach on the Hibiscus Coast. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophical approach and our focus is on encouraging each individual child to reach their full potential, and develop into a confident, capable and successful child with a life-long love for learning. We also love to have fun!
Job requirements are:
- Work with the centre manager to ensure the education and teaching curriculums are planned and implemented.
- Provide quality education and care for the children at the centre.
- Use your skills and experience to engage and motivate your team.
- Liaise with and build relationships with families and children.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships focused on the learning and well-being of all ākonga.
- Qualifications and experience.
- An ECE teaching degree or Diploma of Teaching ECE
- Full registration with the NZ Teaching Council
- Full and current practicing certificate
- Teaching experience in an Early Childhood Education centre
